Find your planter row-unit true seed depth by calibrating each row with Set-N-Seed. The first step to ensuring an even stand from your planter is to calibrate every row to the same depth. Whether new or used, planting depths will vary across a planter due to machining tolerances or wear-and-tear such that when all rows are set to the same depth adjustment on the handle.
Set-N-Seed is a tool to help you pre-determine the depth of each row so when setting the planter in the field all rows will have the same starting point. By setting each row to a pre-determined depth from 1” all the way to 2.5” in ½” increments and then marking the depth handle you can be assured that when making depth adjustments all rows will have the same starting point to get the proper seed depth.
